Mountain biking is a potentially hazardous activity carrying a significant risk. Undertaking this activity may result in injury or death to the person and/or property loss or damage. The activity should only be undertaken with a full understanding of all inherent risks.
Barrington Bike Park takes no responsibility for injury or death nor failed, lost or damaged equipment.
Our trails are located in a natural and undeveloped area that contains thick flora and fauna. Stinging trees are particularly prevalent, but riders should be aware of all flora and fauna during their ride.

By entering Barrington Bike Park you agree to the following Code Of Conduct.
PROTECT YOURSELF (but leave the hazmat suit at home)
Use appropriate equipment and safety check your bike before riding. Working brakes, front suspension and tyres at least 1.9” wide are minimum standards. Dual suspension highly recommended.
Always wear a helmet (Australian Standard AS/ANZ 2063 – 2008)! We recommend using additional protection like knee and elbow pads, gloves and full-face helmets. Consider long clothing and sun protection.
Full-face helmets are required for all trails starting at the second trailhead.
KNOW YOUR LIMITS (you can work up gradually to ‘god-like’)
Only ride within your ability. Use common sense, start slow and work your way up. You are responsible for always staying in control as well as avoiding people and objects. Inattention for even a moment could put yourself and others to risk.
Children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
ALWAYS BE VISIBLE (or you may become roadkill)
Stopping on trails where others can’t see you is dangerous! Especially in the rainforest, some trails aren’t visible from above at all points. Do not obstruct a trail and always look out for others.
BE CONSIDERATE (just as your nanna always said)
Look uphill before entering a trail. Give way to other riders. Alert other riders while overtaking.
COOPERATE (because this is no-one’s kingdom)
We ask for your assistance in case of accidents and/or other incidents. Please inform park management.
DON’T DRINK AND RIDE (because you may need that neck or spine for later)
Never ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
OBEY DIRECTIONS (yes, there is a higher power, see below)
Never enter closed trails and always obey signs and staff. Ride on trails only and don’t cut new lines.
STAY ON THE TRAILS (or you may get eaten)
Our trails are surrounded by fierce vegetation that will sting and scratch you! There are steep drop offs, snakes and biting ants. Staying on the trail protects you and the natural environment.
CHECK CONDITIONS (this is wild nature, not Disneyland)
Conditions change constantly. Please inspect trails and features and adjust your riding. Stay on trails. Report safety concerns such as fallen trees to the park management.
RESPECT OUR TRAILS (wash before use and you already know littering is for losers)
We care for our environment. Please do the same. Please wash your bike prior to entering Barrington Bike Park to avoid weed contamination. Take out your trash and do not disturb flora or fauna.
Any guests not complying with our rules will have their pass revoked. No refund will be provided. (This is the higher power mentioned above.)
Thanks for your cooperation!

COMPULSARY WARM UP
The first shuttle of your day will only go to the midpoint drop off so you can warm up and see how our trails are built.
We highly recommend that you “scout” any trails you are not familiar with. These trails have been constructed around the natural features and may not flow as you expect.
